This 45-week Board of Governor certificate appeals to students with an interest in an Accounting career. The program is designed to provide students with a base of understanding and skills that lead towards the bookkeeping or accounting fields. In co-operation with the Canadian Institute of Bookkeeping, Lambton offers a program leading to a career as a professional bookkeeper. The program comprises of nine courses that include both theory and computer application. Practical experience is required before qualifying for certification. Upon completion of the program, students will be governed by a Code of Ethics, which sets out professional responsibilities and conduct. A grade of 70% is required.

O.S.S.D. or equivalent

Employment Opportunities

Graduates of this program may seek employment as a bookkeeper in a wide scope of businesses and industries including self-employment.
