This program will enable students to develop skills for employment opportunities in the medical clerk field. Program courses will develop skills in the areas of office management and business communications, medical terminology, word processing and spreadsheet software. Students also have the options to focus on the following areas of study: medical conditions, pharmacology, surgical procedures, and medical tests. This program can be completed full-time through OntarioLearn or in Lambton’s E-Lab.

O.S.S.D. or equivalent

Graduates of this program may seek employment as Medical Clerks in hospitals, doctor’s offices and insurance companies.

This program is eligible for Second Career or other programs under the Ministry of Training, Colleges & Universities (MTCU) ­ Employment & Training Division.Visit our webpage for more information.

Semester intakes allow you to start in September, January or May and some programs begin monthly.
Computer access will be provided if you are sponsored by other agencies for these programs.
