Program Information

This program is a transition year for secondary school graduates and mature students who lack the prerequisites to be accepted into the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) degree offered jointly by Lambton College and University of Windsor.

In order to be considered for the BScN program, students are required to attain: program grade point average of at least 2.7; a combined average of at least a B- (70%) in BIO-1205 and BIO-2205, and a combined average of at least a B- (70%) in CHM-1255 and CHM-2255; passing grade in all courses in both semesters.

Students in this program must apply to the BScN program by February 1 of the calendar year in which they wish to start the program to ensure that all additional requirements are met as outlined in the calendar for the BScN program.

For students not entering the Bachelor of Science - Nursing (BSCN) program from high school, but rather enter through the Pre-Health Sciences - BSCN (PNSG) programs, only Lambton College and St.Clair College programs will be guaranteed consideration.

Admission Requirements

O.S.S.D. or equivalent with:
Grade 12 English C or U (minimum grade of 55%)
Grade 11 or Grade 12 Chemistry C or U OR Grade 11 or 12 Biology C or U
Grade 12 Mathematics C or U (recommended)

Course equivalencies can be obtained through Academic Upgrading.

Employment Opportunities

Students will be able to transfer into a Bachelor of Science Nursing program both at Lambton College and beyond.
