The College Exploration program is designed for the student who wishes to explore career, education and training options, while acquiring some vocational competencies and generic skills as a base for further studies or employment entry. Courses may be selected from a wide range of disciplines, including the Humanities, Social Sciences, Business and Technology to meet the individual’s needs.

O.S.S.D. or equivalent with:
Grade 12 English C or U

Course equivalencies can be obtained through Academic Upgrading and Pre-Programs at Lambton.

Canada is fast becoming a credentials-based work place - as a college graduate this will now work in your favour, improving your ability to compete.

This program is not eligible for Second Career or other programs under the Ministry of Training, Colleges & Universities (MTCU) - Employment & Training Division.

There are currently no transfer agreements for this program.

General Awards

Lucia Mrowiec English Award – Awarded to the student with the highest marks in two of ENG 111, ENG 211, or ENG 311 (ENG 115, ENG 215 if offered). Student must have taken both courses during their previous academic year and must have an overall GPA of at least 3.5. No application is required. Students will be notified by the Awards office if they qualify.

The Owen McGowan Memorial Award - Awarded to the student with the highest GPA after completing the first year of the General Arts and Science program - student must be returning for year two.
