The purpose of this program is to provide an exposure to, and preparation for, the various areas of business - accounting, economics, general business and marketing. Students in this program who pass all the prescribed courses, and have a grade point average of at least 2.0 are admitted to their choice of business programs. Students who complete this program will obtain a Pre-Business one-year certificate, or they may transfer their credits to the two-year General Arts & Science Diploma Program.

O.S.S.D. or equivalent with:
Grade 12 English C or U

Course equivalencies can be obtained through Academic Upgrading at Lambton.

This program is not eligible for Second Career or other programs under the Ministry of Training, Colleges & Universities (MTCU) - Employment & Training Division.

There are currently no transfer agreements for this program.

General Awards

Lucia Mrowiec English Award - Awarded to the student with the highest marks in two of ENG 111, ENG 211, or ENG 311 (ENG 115, ENG 215 if offered). Student must have taken both courses during their previous academic year and must have an overall GPA of at least 3.5. No application is required. Students will be notified by the Awards office if they qualify.

School & Program Specific Awards

Sarnia Traffic Club Award - This award recognizes the full-time business student with the highest grade in MKT 341-3 (Logistics). The student must have a minimum overall GPA of 3.0.

Cole Business Award - Business students with a GPA over 3.5 and who are in their graduating year are invited to apply for this award through their College e-mail account. Students are then required to fill out an application in order to be eligible for the award.
