Look through the viewfinder and see a career that is as creative and inspired as you are!
Today’s successful photographers know more than just their cameras: they’re also ready to design, edit, market, connect, write, and sell. Our students prepare for this fast-paced and ever expanding career using modern digital photographic equipment in a state-of-the-art photography studio. The program is laptop-based and fully hybrid (a combination of both online and in-class learning), offering students the benefits of flexible learning.
As a digital photography student at Lambton, you’ll be encouraged to follow your passion and supported as you explore diverse photographic interests, all while developing the technical skills necessary for creative control. The curriculum covers a broad range of topics, including design and composition, digital darkroom, web and social media fundamentals and portfolio development. You’ll have the opportunity to collaborate with other students as you photograph events both on and off-campus, and a photography field study in a location such as New York City during second year will challenge you to expand your horizons.
Students learn from current and award-winning industry leaders: our faculty members include Richard Beland, Dave Chidley, Troy Shantz and Lorrie Williams, who will share the secrets they’ve learned through their decades of photography experience.
At the core of the Digital Photography program is our state-of-the-art photography and video studio, equipped with strobe and continuous light kits. You’ll work in this space, both individually and in small groups, using professional-quality equipment from our loan department.
Let your artistic career aspirations become a reality with Lambton College’s Digital Photography program.
This Mobile Learning program requires that entering students have their own approved camera and a laptop computer: to gain maximum benefit from the program, we strongly recommend that each student have a MacBook Pro. The program also requires additional photography equipment.
