• Description

    The program is delivered over a two-week period. Refer to OFC course calendar for available offerings. Students must be in attendance for the complete course. Students are expected to be competent in Hazmat Awareness and Operational levels. This hazardous materials training will focus on the recognition of a hazardous materials emergency, personnel safety, hazard assessment, and response at the technician level. Learners will become familiar with risk-based response process where the student will analyze the problem involving hazardous materials/WMD, selects appropriate decontamination procedures, and controls a release using specialized protective clothing and control equipment.
