  • The myCareer Centre at Lambton College in Mississauga assists in the development of co-op employment opportunities for students. The myCareer Centre also provides comprehensive career and employment development services and resources for co-op students.

  • List of the myCareer Centre Services at Lambton in Mississauga
    • Ongoing development and delivery of the CPP-1001 Co-op Preparation course
    • Assistance with resumes, cover letters and other job search documents
    • Assistance with interview techniques for work term recruitment
    • Marketing of co-op programs through various media, mail, telephone, personal visits and networking opportunities
    • Assessment of the suitability of work term employment opportunities
    • Facilitation of the student application and selection process; including posting job openings, arranging interviews and facilitating offers of co-op employment
    • Co-op work term site visits and/or monitoring and related documentation
    • Individual advising, performance evaluation and employment support
    • Maintenance of student and employer files and databases
    • Mediation between employers and co-op students when necessary
    • Providing industry feedback to academic divisions for curriculum and program planning
    • Participation in trade shows and external professional organizations specific to the various program areas
    • Facilitation and hosting of on-campus employer information sessions and job fairs
    All of these services are continuous and ongoing, regardless of a student's individual work term employment status.
