Amount: Maximum of $10,000/year/apprentice; Maximum of $40,000/48-month period
Employers that hire apprentices in specific skilled trades may qualify for up to a Maximum of $10,000/year/apprentice; Maximum of $40,000/48-month period in the form of a refundable tax credit on specified expenditures. Apprenticeship Completion Grant of $1,000 available to an employer for every completed apprenticeship.
Amount: Maximum of $12,500 over a 12-month work period
This wage subsidy program is open to energy-related businesses. Those who meet the eligibility requirements will be provided with a subsidy equal to half of the eligible participant’s salary up to a maximum of $12,500 over a maximum 12-month work period.
Amount: Maximum of $20,000
This wage subsidy program funding provides up to $20,000 towards your salary as an incentive for employers to hire and train recent graduates. Eligible employers must be registered on BioTalent Canada’s online job board specific to the Canadian bio-economy.
Amount: Maximum credit of $3,000 per work placement
This tax credit (Maximum credit of $3,000 per co-op work term) is a refundable tax credit available to employers who hire students in a co-operative education program at an Ontario university or college. The program is administered by the Canada Revenue Agency through the Federal income tax system.
Amount: Maximum of $12,000
This internship program provides environmental employers with a wage-subsidy of up to $12,000 to connect new graduates with environment industry employment.
Amount: Maximum of $10,000 for a 6-month internship
Southern Ontario small or medium-sized enterprises may be eligible for up to $10,000 of matching funds for a 6-month internship for a recent graduate of an Advanced Diploma program. Students who have graduated from STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) programs will be considered for participation.
Amount: Maximum of $300,000
10% refundable tax credit, up to $300,000 per year available for Ontario private and public sector corporations. This could be used towards the hiring of students for Scientific Research and Experimental Development in Ontario.
