To withdraw from an online class, please contact the appropriate Admissions Officer in the Registrar's Office. If leaving a message or an e-mail, please provide the following information: Full Name, Student Number, Course Title, Course Code and Section.
Students wishing to withdraw from an online course should consult the OntarioLearn or Fast Track deadlines when enrolling to ensure they are aware of the last date to withdraw.
If you withdraw by the withdrawal deadline, you will receive a full refund less a $15 administration fee. No refunds will be issued after this date.
Students may also wish to withdraw from a course without academic penalty. Although students won’t receive a refund, they will receive a “W” on their transcript instead of a grade. This is most often the best option for students who aren’t doing well in a course.

If you choose to withdraw from a credit course, it is your responsibility to notify the Registrar’s Office immediately to avoid an “F” grade on your transcript. Please note the last day to drop an in-class course without academic penalty on the Academic Dates & Deadlines.
If you withdraw from a course within the refund period, you will be eligible for a refund less a $15 administrative fee and less any non-refundable material fees. If you are registered in a course with more than five sessions, you must withdraw before the third session. If your course has five sessions or fewer, you must withdraw before the second session. Students who withdraw from one-day or two-day workshops in progress are not eligible for a refund.
