Are you looking for a career where every day is an opportunity to change someone’s life? Are you passionate about helping people achieve their dreams? Do you see people’s unique strengths rather than their limitations? Are you a professional, looking to enhance your teaching skills by working with people who face learning or behavioural challenges?

If so, Autism & Behavioural Science might be the program you’re looking for. This graduate certificate program trains students in the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA). This scientific approach to human behaviour gives students the skills they need to carefully assess a situation and develop plans that teach new skills and reduce behaviours that get in the way of people being at their best.

Reasons to Choose Lambton College's Autism & Behavioural Science Program

  • Our faculty continue to practice as clinicians in the field allowing them to share up-to-date information and experiences with students about issues that are pressing today.
  • Classes are scheduled Wednesday through Friday so students who live outside Sarnia are able to attend face-to-face classes with minimal commuting time.
  • We partner with a local child care centre to provide students with the opportunity to practice skills while they're learning but before heading out on field placements. This helps students better prepare for field placement and employment post-graduation.
  • As a Mobile Learning program, students access much of their course learning materials through interactive iBooks and practical activities in the classroom. Technology is used to enhance student learning.
  • The Autism & Behavioural Science program at Lambton College has a course sequence that has been approved by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.
