Lambton College’s experienced faculty approach teaching from an inter-professional perspective. Hybrid courses and individualized programming offer flexibility for student learning and enhanced student success. Advances in technology and evidence-informed practice are integrated throughout the program.
Students within this program benefit from hands-on experience working in both lab and clinical settings. Lambton College’s facilities include a Human Simulation Lab, where students work with mid and high-fidelity mannequins that can breathe, talk, produce vital signs and simulate the birthing process. Hospital and community placements help students to form a relationship with clients, and solidify their critical thinking skills and professional nursing practice.
Clinical experiences are provided in all terms of the program. Clinical locations include, but are not limited to, lab and simulation experiences, hospital and community settings such as long term care homes, family practice clinics and community nursing agencies. To qualify for clinical placements, students must complete a program-specific Passport to Placement.
