    Health Insurance

Once a new international student starts classes at Lambton College, they are automatically covered by  GuardMe - a mandatory medical insurance designed for international students. Visit the GuardMe website for more information about this insurance. Coverage is effective only from the first day of classes, not from your date of arrival in Canada. Therefore, if you arrive before the start of classes, it is strongly recommended that you purchase extra travel insurance, including health insurance coverage, to cover yourself until the first official day of classes.

The health care insurance is a basic package that is subject to change on an annual basis. It is important to emphasize that not all conditions are covered and prospective international students are strongly urged to review the insurance coverage details prior to arrival and to purchase additional insurance coverage as appropriate.   Pre-existing medical issues are not covered by this insurance.

Also important to note is that coverage is for registered Lambton College in Toronto students only. It does not include or cover spouses or children. If you have a spouse and/or dependents, you may wish to pay a supplemental fee in order to cover them.
