Medical insurance is mandatory for all full-time, part-time and co-op students of Lambton College in Toronto. Medical insurance is provided by guard.me - a third-party insurance provider. Full-time, part-time and co-op students of Lambton College in Toronto are not permitted to opt-out of the medical insurance fee. Students are also responsible to ensure that they are covered by appropriate insurance during their break.

Coverage is effective only from the first day of classes - not from the date you arrive in Canada. If your arrival date is prior to the start of classes, it is strongly recommended that you purchase travel insurance, including health insurance coverage, to cover yourself until the first official day of classes.

Lambton College recommends that students purchase insurance before you leave your home country, while on break and after students have completed the program. The academic terms for Lambton College are as follows:

    • (i) Winter Term - January 1 to April 30
    • (ii) Summer Term - May 1 to August 31
    • (iii) Fall Term - September 1 to December 31

It is important to emphasize that not all conditions are covered and prospective international students are strongly urged to review the coverage details prior to arriving in Canada. This will allow time to purchase additional coverage if needed.

Lambton College is not responsible for any of the costs of any form of health care services received or sought by the student.
