Health & Medical

  • Medical insurance is mandatory for all full-time, part-time and co-op students of Lambton College in Toronto. Medical insurance is provided by - a third-party insurance provider. Full-time, part-time and co-op students of Lambton College in Toronto are not permitted to opt-out of the medical insurance fee. Students are also responsible to ensure that they are covered by appropriate insurance during their break.

The health care insurance is a basic package that is subject to change on an annual basis. It is important to emphasize that not all conditions are covered and prospective international students are strongly urged to review the insurance coverage details prior to arrival and to purchase additional insurance coverage as appropriate.

Coverage is effective only from the first day of classes, not from your date of arrival in Canada. Therefore, if you arrive before the start of classes, it is strongly recommended that you purchase travel insurance, including health insurance coverage, to cover yourself until the first official day of classes.

Also important to note is that coverage is for registered Lambton College in Toronto students only. It does not include or cover spouses or children. If you have a spouse and/or dependents, you may wish to pay a supplemental fee in order to cover them.

Please read our Lambton College in Toronto International Student Medical Insurance Policy (PDF).
