Introduction to Operations Management

  • Description

In this workshop, you will learn how to document and analyze processes in work, business, and manufacturing.  Using Training within Industry (TWI) frameworks and other methods, we will analyze job methods, job relations, and job instructions to create and evaluate job designs.  Considering different processes and jobs, we will evaluate the circumstances that various layout designs work best in.

By participating in this workshop, you will have an opportunity to explore these topics through group discussion, case studies, and practical examples from every-day manufacturing and business situations.  You will leave this workshop with tangible techniques that you can put into practice in your work environment.  This workshop is organized into two morning sessions.

Participants may be eligible to receive a Canada-Ontario Job Grant if registered for 4 of the 5 courses offered in the Manufacturing Innovation Workshop Series.
