Rooms and Rates

  • The following rates are in place for the 2022-2023 academic year. These rates apply to full-time students enrolled at Lambton College.

    Please Note: Students CAN apply to residence before they are accepted into their programs.

    The residence fees include the following

    • Utilities
    • Internet access
    • Furnished suite

    For students living in residence the meal plan is mandatory and is at a fixed rate of $1,400 per term. Please see the Food Services page for details.

    Your residence fees are separate from your Lambton College account and tuition. Please ensure that the payee selected at your banking institution is "Lambton College Residence."

    There is a $100 non-refundable application fee. This fee is included in the residence fees. 

    Fees for apprenticeship programs will vary based on the length of the program.

    How to Make Payments

    Students can pay their residence fees in the following ways:

    Debit
    In-person by visiting the Lambton Residence front desk
    Certified Cheque or Money Order
    Paid by courier - please make payable to Lambton College Residence
    eTransfer
    eTransfers can be sent to info@lambtonresidence.ca
    Online Bill Payment
    Bill payment through your banking institution if you bank with RBC, TD, Scotiabank or BMO - select Lambton College Residence as your payee, use your student number as your account number
    Interac Online
    This can be done through your Housing Portal and is compatible with RBC, TD, National and credit unions
    Wire Transfer
    International Students must email the residence office before setting up a wire transfer

    OSAP Funded Students

    Please be aware that we do not accept OSAP deferrals for residence fees or meal plan payments. Residence does not provide extensions to the payment deadlines for students waiting for OSAP. If you are unsure if you will be able to meet the payment deadline, we suggest looking at other funding options that may be available.

    • $665 due April 15, 2023
    • Three payments of $665 due May 15, June 15, July 15
    • Includes a non-refundable $150 administration fee

    Academic Year - September 3, 2023 - April 20, 2024

    Option 1
    • $2,750 due June 15, 2023
    • $6,000 due August 1, 2023
    • TOTAL = $8,750
    Option 2
    • $2,500 due June 15, 2023
    • $2,500 due August 1, 2023
    • $3,900 due October 1, 2022 (includes a non-refundable $150 administration fee)
    • TOTAL = $8,900
    Option 3 - Payment Plan

    Additional $200 administration fee. You must contact management after submitting your application. Submitting your application is not a guarantee of your payment plan.

    Winter Term - January 7, 2024 - April 20, 2024

    Termination & Cancellation Policy

    Cancellations occur prior to move in. If you wish to cancel your residence application or the Student Residence Agreement, you must cancel through My Housing Portal prior to move in.

    Withdrawals occur after move-in. If you wish to withdraw from residence, please contact the front desk for a Residence Withdrawal Form. You must return it to the front desk within five business days of the anticipated departure date.

    Cancellations will not be accepted over the phone.

    The following information is directly quoted from Section 8 of the Student Residence Agreement. The cancellation policy refers to residence fees and the deposit, which are detailed in Section 2 of the Student Residence Agreement. Section 8.06 explains the differences in the policy for students applying for specific terms: Summer term, Academic Year, and the Winter term.

    If you cancel your application or enrolment at the college, you will also need to cancel your residence application. Once you have agreed and acknowledged the Student Residence Agreement & RCLS, you are bound by the termination and cancellation policy detailed within it. If for any reason, the manager issues a refund to the resident, the refunded amount may be subject to a cancellation fee.

    • Two desks with chairs and desk lamps
    • Two closets with shelving
    • Three-piece washroom with bathtub and shower
    • Full apartment sized refrigerator with top freezer
    • Microwave
    • Wireless internet

    Our common rooms include:

    • Quiet study lounge
    • Student kitchen
    • Laundry facility
    • Main lounge with ping pong, foosball and pool tables
    • Computer lab with printer and scanner
