Popular Technology Forum to highlight Lambton College Fall Open House

October 30, 2015

SARNIA, October 30, 2015 – Campus tours and program information aren’t the only highlights of Lambton College’s fall Open House. The annual event, scheduled to take place Saturday, November 14 from 10 a.m. through 2 p.m., is set to feature a jam-packed agenda filled with interactive activities and educational information that’s bound to appeal to incoming students.

Returning to the lineup this year is the much-anticipated Technology Forum, which is headlining this year’s event thanks to increased demand for programs like Chemical Production & Power Engineering and Power Engineering Technology.

The Technology Forum, hosted by Bryan Aitken, Dean, School of Technology, Energy & Apprenticeship, will start at 10:30 a.m. and will feature exclusive presentations by local plant managers who will speak about the labour market as it pertains specifically to Lambton College graduates. Recent graduates and co-op students will also speak about their own personal experiences and career prospects.

Details about Lambton College’s newly established Centre of Excellence in Energy & Bio-Industrial Technology will also be discussed as well as the launch of the college’s new Environmental Technician - Water & Wastewater Systems Operations program.

“Our Technology Forum provides an excellent venue for prospective students and their families to hear from leaders of our local industry about opportunities for graduates in Sarnia-Lambton and across the country,” says Cindy Buchanan, Senior Director, Marketing, Communications & Brand Management, Lambton College.

Other highlights on the day’s agenda include the chance to chat with Deans, staff and students from all of Lambton College’s programs, and the chance to win some fantastic prizes including tuition for the 2016/2017 school year.

Guests of the day-long event will also have the opportunity to explore every corner of the campus via group tours and ongoing shuttles to the Fire & Public Safety Centre of Excellence, the Skilled Trades Training Centre and Residence.
