Lambton College eBits Prove to be a Big Hit with Online Learners

SARNIA, July 13, 2020 – A collection of free web-based mini-courses launched by Lambton College have proven to be popular with online learners. The self-paced, mini-courses, better known as eBits, recently topped 5,000 registrations.

The premier offering of eBits were released by the College in May in an effort to support the community in various aspects of professional growth and self-development in a post-pandemic world.

Since their introduction, the eBits have received a total of 5,344 registrations, averaging 25 new enrolments per day with students logging in from 21 countries around the world.

The mini-course catalogue features more than 20 free, hour-long learning modules that enable learners to explore an interest, prepare for the upcoming school year, or further develop professionally.

All mini-courses are available online and some of the most popular topics to date include Healthy Choices, Healthy Life, Advocacy for Patients and Families, Essential Food Safety, Elevate Your Brand Online, Fantastic Photos 1: Composition, and Start Your Business from Scratch 1: Entrepreneurship.

A variety of new mini-courses are also expected to be added to the lineup in the coming weeks including an Online Learning module.

All mini-courses are pulled and packaged directly from the curriculum of Lambton’s full-time program roster. Registrants also receive a Certificate of Completion when a module is finished successfully.

Lambton College is implementing a Hybrid Learning Approach for September that will allow students to receive their educational experience both at home and on campus.
