Staying Safe in Canada

The Staying Safe in Canada course is designed to keep international students safe while they study in Canada.

We want to encourage all students to explore the six modules included in the Staying Safe in Canada course to ensure they are aware of common safety and health risks.

The courses explains:

  • Ways international students may be exploited or scammed;
  • What rights an international student has in Canada;
  • Applicable regulations;
  • Where students can seek help, assistance, and support both on and off campus.

The Staying Safe in Canada course was created by the eLearning Design & Training Development graduating class of Spring 2022, the Peel Multicultural Council, and the International Department at Lambton College.
