    COVID Safety Protocol

Vaccinations & Campus Safety

  • Throughout the pandemic, Lambton College has put the health of our College community and extended Sarnia-Lambton community at the forefront. We have consistently followed public health directives while continuously innovating to balance the needs of our students, employees and partners in an ever-shifting landscape. Given the realities of the virus and its variants, and mandates set forth by the Government of Ontario and provincial public health experts, we are adapting again now.

The majority of Lambton College programs are returning to a high level of in-class learning in January 2022. Lambton College is requesting ALL students and employees upload proof of vaccination, according to our COVID-19 Vaccination Policy, by November 26, 2021. Whether students or employees are physically on campus or studying or working virtually, they are required to submit documentation by this deadline. Any questions can be sent to vaccines@lambtoncollege.ca.

To access campus, all students, faculty, staff, contractors and guests are now required to be fully vaccinated with two doses of a vaccine authorized for use by Health Canada

If you cannot be vaccinated due to medical reasons or other protected grounds under the Ontario Human Rights Code, you will be considered for an exemption. Please be aware that approved exemptions may impose restrictions or necessitate COVID-19 testing protocols.

    Visiting the Campus

If you're going to be visiting the Lambton College campus, you will need to complete a mandatory Campus Access Training Module prior to your visit.

The training is in an easy to follow format and is mandatory for staff, faculty, students, contractors and visitors.

    External Guests

If you are a contractor or a visitor to Lambton College, you will need to complete the following steps before gaining access to College buildings:

    1. Register for the Campus Access Training - Be Safe, Feel Safe Course - you will receive a confirmation email within 2-4 hours with instructions on how to access the course.
    2. Complete the Campus Access Training - Be Safe, Feel Safe Course - this will only need to be completed one time
    3. Visit the Screening Form or Download the LambtonSafe App (Google Play Store or App Store)
    4. Upload Proof of Vaccinations - this step will only need to be completed once
    5. Answer the screening questions to receive a PASS or FAIL - this step will need to be completed every time you visit the college
How to Submit Proof of Vaccinations

Submitting proof of vaccination can be done easily by visiting the Screening Form or by downloading the LambtonSafe App.

    Proof of Vaccinations include:

    • Receipt from issuing vaccination clinic or pharmacy
    • Electronic vaccine receipt issued by the Government of Ontario or another Province - if you received your vaccination in Ontario, you can find your documentation at ontariohealth.ca - you will need your green health care that is NOT expired
    • Record of each dose of your vaccination, such as a receipt, card, or confirmation from an international organization in English, or with a certified English translation

Documents can be uploaded in either jpg, png, or pdf files - if submitting physical copies, scan or photograph receipt(s) prior to uploading to the screening tool.

If you have any issues accessing the training, please contact facilities@lambtoncollege.ca.

If you haven't completed the training or submitted proof of vaccinations, you will not be able to access the screening questions and will not be allowed on campus.

    Staff, Faculty & Current Students

College employees or students don't need to register for the Campus Access Training course. You are automatically enrolled in this free course and it will appear in your D2L account.

To visit D2L, log in to myLambton.ca and select D2L from the top menu bar.

If students or employees cannot be vaccinated due to a medical reason or other protected grounds under the Ontario Human Rights Code, they can request an exemption.

Please be aware that approved exemptions may impose restrictions or necessitate COVID-19 testing protocols which could include regular rapid antigen testing.

Masking & Daily Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

As we have throughout the pandemic, we will continue to require employees, students and visitors to complete the daily screening form upon entering any Lambton College building or leased facility.

Social distancing, proper PPE, including but not limited to masking in shared/common spaces, and extended cleaning will also be best practice for Fall 2021. For more information on these requirements please see the Roadmap to Reopening document.
