Course

Build, evaluate, and help shape the future of artificial intelligence. In this course, students will gain hands-on experience using AI tools, including creating a web-based game with the support of generative AI. Along the way, students will develop practical skills in critiquing AI applications, assessing their societal impacts, and designing ethical guidelines for their chosen fields. Students will explore the profound ethical questions surrounding artificial intelligence while developing critical frameworks for understanding how AI technologies are reshaping our world. The course introduces key AI concepts, from machine learning to generative AI, and applies major ethical perspectives to real-world scenarios and emerging technologies. Students will examine how different cultures and historical periods have responded to technological change, enabling them to evaluate AI from multiple viewpoints and consider its implications for diverse communities. No prior technical knowledge is required. This course focuses on the human dimensions of artificial intelligence while providing practical experience with AI tools, preparing students to be thoughtful, informed, and responsible participants in an increasingly AI-enabled world.
