March 28, 2019

SARNIA, March 28, 2019 – Brand new buildings, world-class programs, information sessions, and the opportunity to win some amazing prizes are just some of the highlights set to make Lambton College’s Spring Open House one of its best to date.

Taking place Saturday, March 30 from 10 a.m. through 2 p.m., the annual event will feature a jam-packed agenda filled with interactive activities, educational information, and detailed tours of all Lambton’s newly constructed buildings and facilities including the NOVA Chemicals Health & Research Centre, the Athletics & Fitness Complex, and the Centre of Excellence in Energy & Bio-Industrial Technologies.

In addition to learning more about programs and services available at Lambton College, representatives from the Office of the Registrar & Financial Aid will be hosting two very important information sessions that will give incoming students the opportunity to ask questions about OSAP, and other forms of financial assistance.

Lambton College’s Financial Aid team has been fully versed on the changes implemented to OSAP for the 2019–2020 academic year.

The sessions will take place at 10:30 a.m. and 11:45 a.m. to help students understand their financial aid options. Additional discussions about scholarships, bursaries and campus employment opportunities will also take place during each session.

Opportunities to explore other aspects of the growing campus will also be available via group tours that will include detailed stops such as the Esports Arena (the first of its kind in Canada) and ongoing shuttles to the Fire & Public Safety Centre of Excellence, the Skilled Trades Training Centre, and Residence.

Other highlights on the day’s agenda include the chance to chat with Deans, faculty, staff and students from all of Lambton College’s programs, including brand new offerings such as Chemical Lab Technician, Esports Entrepreneurship & Administration, Heating, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Technician, Occupational Therapist Assistant & Physiotherapist Assistant, Power Engineering Techniques, and Recreation Therapy.

Additional incentives include the opportunity to apply to Lambton College on-the-spot. The Enrolment Team will be available to assist all guests with the application process during the event. As an added bonus for attending Open House, Lambton College will pay the $95 application fee for any students who apply during the event.

An assortment of exciting giveaways will also be taking place, including prizes for every student who accepts their offer during Open House, and a chance for an incoming student to win the grand prize of free tuition.
