- PRAC - Practical Nursing
- SSWK - Social Service Worker
- PSWK - Personal Support Worker
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this award, students must:
- Be registered full-time at Lambton College and completed the first year of their program, at a minimum
- Achieve a minimum program GPA of 3.0 and be returning on a full-time basis to the following academic year in the same program of study
- Provide contributions above and beyond the normal program assignments that have enhanced and improved community social services
- Have volunteer experience and demonstrate a positive outlook, supportive attitude, kindness and a sense of humour
- Have successfully managed school and home life challenges and opportunities during the academic year
The recipient may have overcome exceptional obstacles due to the balancing act needed to attend post-secondary studies.
Application Details
Selection Process
At the end of the winter term, program coordinators will be provided with a list of qualifying students from which to make their selection for the recipients of this award.
The four awards will be chosen as follows:
- One award to a student in the Social Service Worker program
- One award to a student in the Child & Youth Care program
- Two awards to students in either the Personal Support Worker, Practical Nursing or Bachelor of Science - Nursing programs - these awards will rotate between the programs
