Ontario-Ukraine Solidarity Scholarship

In response to the Russian military invasion of Ukraine on Feb. 24, 2022, the province of Ontario announced the creation of the Ontario-Ukraine Solidarity Scholarship program to support students attending Ontario’s publicly assisted colleges and universities.

Institutions are to prioritize eligibility for students impacted by the Ukrainian conflict first, followed by supports for students impacted by other conflicts, as well as any further criteria established by institutions, if there are not enough students who meet the initial criteria.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be pursuing part-time or full-time studies at Lambton College during the 2025-26 academic year (award amounts are not course-load dependent)
  • Students impacted by the Ukrainian conflict will be prioritized, followed by students impacted by other conflicts
  • Financial need
  • Community involvement
  • Academic excellence
  • Residency and/or citizenship is not a requirement for eligibility, however a student must be physically present in Ontario to qualify

If you are an OSAP student, receiving this award may impact (potentially reduce) your OSAP entitlement.
