Alumni Association Second Generation Scholarship
This award is open to second generation alumni of Lambton College (children of alumni).Eligibility Criteria
Entrance Award
- Student must have an average of 73% or greater in six (6) grade 11/12 secondary school courses
- If admission is based on mature student status with no Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), student must apply after completing one year (two academic terms) at Lambton College
- Student must be attending a full-time postsecondary program at Lambton College
- Student must be a second generation Alumni of Lambton College (must be a child of alumni)
- Student should demonstrate college or local community involvement
- Student must demonstrate financial need
- Student must meet Ontario residency requirements as stated in the Ontario Student Assistance Program policy
- Students of Lambton College, Sarnia Campus
Returning Students
- If a current student, student must have completed a minimum of two academic terms (one year) on a full-time basis in their program
- Student must be returning on a full-time basis to the second or third year of their program in the following academic year
- Student must have a minimum term and program GPA of at least 3.0
- Student should demonstrate college or local community involvement
- Student must demonstrate financial need
- Student must meet Ontario residency requirements as stated in the Ontario Student Assistance Program policy
- Students of Lambton College, Sarnia Campus

How to Apply
Applicants are required to submit:
- A one-page personal letter or resume outlining their College or community involvement
- Up to three letters of reference
- A completed budget demonstrating financial need
- A high school transcript (if in Year 1) or a post-secondary transcript (if a returning student)

Selection Process
The Student Awards Coordinator will verify the eligibility of all applicants.
After the deadline, the Student Awards Coordinator will assemble a scholarship committee in order to assess and evaluate all candidates.
Applications will be ranked using the following weighting:
- 30% - Academics
- 30% - Community Involvement
- 30% - Reference Letters
- 10% - Financial Need
Award
A student can only receive the Lambton College Alumni Second Generation Scholarship once during their academic career at Lambton College.
