Monique D'Arcy Perseverance Award - SSW
Monique D’Arcy is a graduate of the Lambton College Child and Youth Worker program (now the Child and Youth Care Program). In her time at Lambton College, Monique was the beneficiary of a number of scholarships and bursaries that helped her overcome the barriers that may have otherwise stood between her and a post-secondary education. Now that she is a successful professional in her field, Monique would like to help Lambton College SSW students overcome these same barriers.Eligible Programs
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must currently be in their second year of the SSWK program
Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 2.0
Applicants must demonstrate a recent history of community involvement by providing a brief list of the organizations, events or initiatives in which they have participates
Students of Lambton College, Sarnia Campus

How to Apply
Applicants must list their extracurricular or community involvement, as well as submit a short essay discussing the adversity they have faced, and how they will use their experience to help others.

Selection Process
- Student Awards Coordinator will verify the eligibility of all applicants.
- After the deadline, the Student Awards Coordinator will assemble a scholarship committee in order to assess and evaluate all candidates.
- Applications will be ranked using the following weighting:
- Applicants will receive up to two points for GPA
- Applicants will receive up to four points for community involvement
- Applicants will receive up to four points for essay
- Scores will be totaled out of ten to determine recipient.
