Cole Business Award

The purpose of the Cole Award is to encourage and promote the attainment of higher education goals for individuals who have demonstrated a high level of academic achievement, have made a positive contribution to Lambton College through involvement in extracurricular activities, and have made significant contributions of time and energy to community service programs.

Eligible Programs

• ACTG - Business - Accounting
• BACC - Business Administration - Accounting
• BGEN - Business Administration
• BUSN - Business
• BMAN - Business Management

Eligibility Criteria

• Full-time Business students who are enrolled in their graduating year
• Maintain a minimum program GPA of 3.5
• Be a Canadian citizen, landed immigrant or Protected Person
• Meet Ontario residency requirements, as outlined byOSAP
• Must demonstrate a deficit in your budget
• Students of Lambton College, Sarnia Campus

Selection Process

In addition to the candidate's academic abilities, the student will also be evaluated on his/her contribution to Lambton College and the community through extracurricular activities.

Contribution to the community may be demonstrated by involvement in local clubs, organizations and community activities. Candidates must also be able to demonstrate financial need.

The recipient will be recognized at the award at the Annual Academic Awards ceremony.

The following weighting system is used when choosing a recipient:

• 30% - Academics
• 20% - Community Involvement
• 20% - Financial Need
• 15% - Essay
• 15% - Extracurricular Activities
