Marian Shaw Celebration of Excellence Award
Andrew, Allan and Sally Shaw established this award to honour their mother, Marian Shaw, in her 80th year.
As a teacher at Lambton College from 1975 to 1997 and a member of the Canadian Federation of University Women, she played an active and ongoing role in support of students' post-secondary aspirations.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this award, students must:
- Be enrolled full-time, in a post-secondary program at Lambton College
- Must have completed two academic terms
- Be returning on a full-time basis to the second year of the program at Lambton College in the following academic year
- Have a minimum program GPA of 2.7 (B-) at the end of the first year
- Be an active leader in the Lambton College Circles program
- Be a student who stands out, either through the motivation and encouragement offered to his/her peers, or by the way he/she has changed his/her own personal life since joining the Circles program
- Demonstrate a passion for post-secondary studies and have a strong desire to get ahead to improve the financial position of his/her family

Student Award Coordinator will verify the eligibility of all applicants.

After the deadline, the Financial Aid Consultant will assemble a scholarship committee in order to assess and evaluate all candidates.

Applications will be ranked using the following weighting:
* Community and Leadership 60%
* GPA 40%
