This scholarship was established in celebration of Canada's Sesquicentennial Anniversary of Confederation. Smart Serve is committed to ongoing support for post-secondary education in the hospitality industry. Colleges provide valuable education experiences and by including Smart Serve in their programs demonstrate a commitment to the principles of responsible alcohol sales and service helping to promote a safer, healthier Ontario.

Eligibility Criteria
- Is enrolled as a full-time student in his or her first year of study
- Has demonstrated financial need
- Has successfully completed Smart Serve certification
- Has demonstrated a sense of leadership and passion for your field of study
- Has a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater
- Domestic and International students are eligible Students of Lambton College, Sarnia Campus

Selection Process
Selection Process
After the deadline, Student Awards Specialist will verify the eligibility of all applicants.
The Student Awards Specialist will assemble a scholarship committee in order to assess and evaluate all candidates.
Applications will be ranked using the following weighting:
Essay: max. 5 pts
Fin Need: Yes = 2 pts No = 0 pts
Academics: <3.0 - ineligible; 3.0-3.2 = 1 pt; 3.3-3.6 = 2 pts; 3.7-4.0 = 3 pts
