Travel Options
When you first arrive in Canada, it might take a little while to adjust to how to access various methods of transportation. Lambton College has outlined a few options:
Transportation - Montreal to Ottawa
Montreal is approximately 2.5 hours (200 km) from Ottawa. International students flying into Montreal can either transfer to Ottawa International Airport (YOW) or take ground transportation.
- Flights
- When arranging your airline tickets to Canada, you can include a transfer to Ottawa International Airport (YOW). Two airlines provide service to between Montreal and Ottawa:
- VIA Rail
- For departure schedules and booking, please refer to the VIA Rail Website.
- Orleans Express
- Orleans Express provides effective and reliable bus transportation service from Montreal to Ottawa. For departure locations and schedules refer to Orleans Express.
- Federal Limousine
- Provides professional chauffeured limousine service in Ottawa. Federal Limousine will work with students to arrange pick-up from Montreal and drop-offs locally in Ottawa. Transportation - Toronto to Ottawa
Toronto is approximately 5 hours (450 km) from Ottawa. International students flying into Toronto can either transfer to the Ottawa International Airport (YOW) or take ground transportation.
- Flights
- When arranging your airline tickets to Canada, you can include a transfer to the Ottawa International Airport (YOW). Three airlines provide service to Ottawa:
- VIA Rail
- From Toronto Pearson, students can take the UP Express to Union Station:
- The UP Express is located in Terminal 1 at the Pearson Airport - next to the Terminal Link Train.
- The Link provides transfers - free of charge - between Terminal 1 and 3.
- It is highly recommended you pre-book for both the VIA Rail and the UP Express.
- VIA Rail trains depart from Union Station (55 Front Street W) and arrive at Ottawa Train Station (200 Tremblay Road).
- Flix
- Flix provides bus transportation service from Toronto to Ottawa. For departure locations and schedules visit the Flix website.
- Megabus
- Megabus provides bus transportation service from Toronto to Ottawa. For departure locations and schedules refer to the Megabus website.
- Federal Limousine
- Provides professional chauffeured limousine service to Ottawa. Federal Limousine will work with student to arrange pick-up at Pearson Airport and drop-ops locally in Ottawa. For more information, visit the Federal Limousine website.

Ottawa Airport
There are some international airlines that fly directly into Ottawa International Airport (YOW). Please check with your travel agent regarding this option.
Local Transportation
OC Transpo
It is the primary public bus transport service available for commuting in Ottawa. For more information about planning a trip, fares, maps, and transit updates visit the OC Transpo website.
Students can purchase an OC Transpo Pass from the Presto website.
Students can also pay by tapping debit or credit cars on OC Transpo.
EquiPass

O-Train
An electric light rial service that connect 13 stations from Tunney's Pasture to Blair. For more information about planning a trip, fares, maps, and transit updates, visit the O-Train website.

Parking Services
Parking in Ottawa
Parking is available at Saint Paul University. To purchase an annual parking permit or to view hourly and daily parking raters, please visit the Saint Paul University Parking website. Parking passes are valid between September 1 and August 31 and cannot be pro-rated.
