Exploring Diversity and Equity is a series of eBit mini-courses designed to help students cultivate an appreciation for diversity and develop confidence and curiosity when interacting with other people. Exploring Diversity & Equity: Acknowledging Unconscious Bias is the second eBit in this series. It is recommended that students complete this eBit before taking the other eBits in the series.

In Exploring Diversity & Equity: Acknowledging Unconscious Bias, students will learn to define implicit or unconscious bias, become familiar with the psychology behind implicit bias and recognize the ways it can impact our daily interactions. Students will also become more aware of personal implicit biases by taking the Implicit Association Test (IAT).
