More Information

Pharmacies across Ontario and Canada have seen their workload and staffing increase since the start of the pandemic. Ontario pharmacists and pharmacy technicians have received changes to their roles and responsibilities in the pharmacy. Pharmacy technicians in Ontario are now able to administer the COVID vaccine.

Prior to the start of the pandemic there was a great need for more staff in the pharmacies across Ontario and now that need is even greater. As the need for pharmacy technicians increases, so does the current wage and job availability. The faculty and staff at Lambton College are leaders in the industry which provides our students with many opportunities for career advancement. The majority of our students have jobs in the field prior to graduation.
