Financial Planners work with clients to identify financial goals and to develop personalized savings and investment plans to realize those objectives. Successful completion of the Financial Planning certificate is the first step in the process of obtaining the Certified Financial Planner® designation.

Upon successful completion of the Financial Planning certificate, students pursuing the Certified Financial Planner® designation will:

  1. Participate in an on-line program review with the Canadian Institute of Financial Planning (CIFP)
  2. Write an in-class CIFP exam
  3. Write the FP Canada™ Level 1 Examination
