Program Code: HOMC (Part-Time) Awarded Upon Completion: Board of Governors Certificate

This Board of Governors certificate program will provide students with the base knowledge and skills required by the Ontario Association of Home Inspectors. There are additional requirements leading to certification and students are advised to confirm the provincial requirements for home inspectors.

The cost of the courses do not include the cost of course manuals. Each course requires the Carson Dunlop and Associates manual, which is approximately $250.00 (subject to change) per course. The courses can be taken in any order with the exception of: HOM-1503 Heating Inspection I and HOM-2503 Heating Inspection II.

Please Note: All courses are available on a full or part-time basis and are offered online.

Admission Requirements

O.S.S.D. or equivalent, or 19 years of age or older

Mature applicants must be at least 19 years of age by the start of classes and be out of secondary school for at least one year. Mature applicant testing is available in the Counselling Department. The test(s) will demonstrate equivalency in required admission subjects. For more information please contact the Counselling Department at x 3412.

Applications for this program are not accepted through ontariocolleges.ca.

Tuition Fees

Fees for this program are charged on a course-by-course basis. For individual course fees, please visit the course list and select a course.

Online course choices will have added software fees and book costs are not included in course fees unless otherwise stated.
