This program provides an apprentice with the required in-school portion towards their apprenticeship in the field of Instrumentation & Control Technician 447A. This program follows the current curriculum set out by the Ontario College of Trades (OCOT) and in accordance with the Ministry of Labour, Training and Skills Development (MLTSD).

Employment Opportunities

Apprentices from this program can expect to find employment in many industries that require any type of automation. Many of our instrumentation graduates find employment in the automotive, food processing or oil and gas industries. All companies require some form of automation control which makes the opportunities for highly trained instrumentation control and control technicians (447A) virtually endless.
