Bio & Academic Background

Lori Green holds a Masters of Social Work and is a registered member in good standing of the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. She worked as a front line counsellor for 20 years prior to becoming the coordinator of the Social Service Worker program at Lambton College.

Greens's front line experience allowed her the privilege of working with many domestic violence survivors and perpetrators. Lori has provided individual counselling, crisis counselling and facilitated treatment groups for domestic violence survivors and perpetrators.

Green is a certified Trauma and Loss consultant and debriefer and has attended numerous professional development training sessions in the area of power and control and domestic violence treatment. Lori has also held management positions where she supervised counsellors in their own front line work and gathered statistical information on the usage and success of counselling services, both for individual and group sessions.

Green has experience in proposal submissions, having been required to submit funding proposals to organizations such as the United Way, Ministry of Community Social Services and the Ministry of the Attorney General.

As a volunteers debriefer at Sarnia Speaks, Green provides consultation to private practice clinicians, is the Chair of School Council and is a member of the Lambton College Centre for Social Justice Advisory committee.
