Research Expertise


Matthew led the Age-Friendly Sarnia Research study from 2015-2017, completing the most comprehensive community Age-Friendly assessment in Ontario to date.

Successfully procured funding for the Kettle and Stony Point Skilled Trade Training Centre Feasibility assessment in 2016.

Completed grant proposal for SSHRC funding, successfully receiving funding in 2018.

Bio & Academic Background

Matthew Hutchinson attended McMaster University to play football and study business. After completing his undergraduate degree, he pursued a Masters in Business of Administration at the University of Windsor. 

Through a partnership between the University of Windsor and the University of Florida, Matthew took part in an international exchange while completing a Post-Graduate Certificate in Operations Management. After seven years of education Matthew gained four years of work experience in finance, accounting, marketing, business development and project management. It wasn't until Matthew joined Lambton College that he realized his true passion for teaching. 

Matthew took on the role of Faculty Advisor for Lambton College's Enactus program in 2016 and helped lead the student team to their first Enactus National Championship and Enactus World Championship in 2018, becoming the first College to win the Canadian National Championship and Enactus World Championship in Enactus' 30-year history.
