SARNIA, October 25, 2022 – Lambton College has been recognized by the community with a pair of local awards.
The College was recently honoured with two Outstanding Business Achievement Awards in the areas of Customer Service and Applied Research and Innovation on behalf of the Sarnia-Lambton Chamber of Commerce.
The awards were announced during a dinner ceremony, which took place at the Sunbridge Hotel in Point Edward on Friday, October 21.
Awards were distributed in 12 categories, recognizing innovations and achievements from local businesses across Sarnia-Lambton.
Lambton College Associate Dean of International Education Hanna Eroglu was honoured with the Customer Service – Individual Award. Eroglu works tirelessly with the College’s International students, supporting them as they navigate the unique challenges
of the Ontario college system, Canadian Immigration services, and adapting to life in Sarnia-Lambton.
The College was also the recipient of the Innovation award for their work with the City of Sarnia and Lambton County via the Civic Lab. Launched in 2021, the Civic Lab was established to increase collaborative projects undertaken with economic, environmental,
and social impacts for the community. The program aims to create a systemic approach to collaboration between local government and the College that helps connect the expertise and capacity in the College to the community’s research and innovation
needs.
“Two of our core values at Lambton College are Caring and Innovation,” said Rob Kardas, President & CEO, Lambton College. “To be recognized in both of these areas by our local Chamber is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our employees and
our commitment to both student success and leading innovation in our community.”
