Study locally and earn your BComm in as little as 12 months through Lambton College’s university partnership

August 13, 2015

Sarnia, ON, August 15, 2013- In a continued effort to provide students with flexible, localized learning opportunities, Lambton College is pleased to announce a brand new partnership with Nipissing University that will allow students to obtain a Bachelor of Commerce (BComm) degree in as little as 12 months.

Through the development of this brand new program partnership, Lambton College graduates holding a three year advanced diploma with a minimum 72% (2.8 cumulative GPA) average can now be granted up to 45 advanced standing credits towards a 90-credit BComm degree.

This innovative program includes a blended delivery model which combines online learning with in-class tutorial sessions held at Lambton College’s main campus. In some cases, traditional lectures will also be offered for select subjects. Likewise, online courses may be offered for electives experiencing low enrolment with live synchronous elements added where possible.

Students who wish to pursue their degree through this university partnership can choose either a full-time stream consisting of five courses per term, which could allow them to earn their degree in as little as one year. There is also a part-time option available, offering two courses per term over a period of seven or eight terms, which allows qualified applicants to maintain a full-time or part-time job while they complete their degree in approximately 30 months.

In addition to flexible learning options, other benefits of this exclusive opportunity include small class sizes and the opportunity to attend classes and complete their degree locally at Lambton College. The program was also designed to satisfy standard degree requirements for CGA, CMA and CHRP.
