SARNIA, January 12, 2015 – Accessing information about Lambton College on the World Wide Web is now easier than it’s ever been before. Last week, the college introduced a brand new look and feel to lambtoncollege.ca, its main web portal and marketing tool for prospective students. Designed and programmed by a team of employees from both the Marketing and I.T. departments, the new website was created to be fully responsive, which means it’s been developed for maximum viewing from any device.

The new site is part of the college’s ongoing efforts to enhance the quality and availability of information available online to prospective applicants. The transformation follows months of extensive research and consultation.

“We are very proud of this new website and the months of hard work that went into creating the new design and functionality,” says Cindy Buchanan, Senior Director, Marketing, Communications & Business Development, Lambton College. “Our team worked incredibly hard to ensure this new website will provide prospective students with an enhanced user experience and easier access to information about Lambton College programs and services.”

The new look is part one of a three phase unveiling, with phases two and three scheduled to go live over the next year.

“Mobile traffic to our website has grown exponentially in recent years and we needed to design a website that could easily adapt to the range of devices and screen sizes being used to access our online content,” says Terry Babbey, Director, Information & Educational Technology, Lambton College. “Falling in line with our own Mobile Learning strategy, our new website will ensure prospective students receive the best possible user experience while accessing lambtoncollege.ca from any type of device.”

In addition to being fully responsive, the new website also meets the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act WCAG 2.0 Level AA guidelines.

In the coming months, users can expect even more functionality to be added to the site.

In the meantime, the college would like to encourage guests to browse the new website. Public feedback is welcome and any suggestions can be submitted using the online feedback form found at lambtoncollege.ca/Feedback.aspx.
