Lambton College adds new Graphic Design Software program to its online roster

September 2, 2016

SARNIA, September 2, 2016 – Lambton College is pleased to announce it has added another new program to its expanding online roster for September 2016.

The Graphic Design Software Board of Governors Certificate is being offered for the first time this fall. Students enrolled in the new program will learn to utilize professional desktop publishing software tools to plan, design and produce professional graphic design materials for a variety of clients.

The nine course program will help students enhance their graphic design software skills while focusing on key elements including print-based design for photographic images, selection of picture areas, and use of special tools for colorizing, blurring, distorting, adding text, fonts or layouts.

Fundamental concepts in project layout as well as typography, graphics, images and colour for web page and desktop publishing will also be covered throughout the program. The ability to identify pre-press issues associated with the use of computer images used in final printing processes will also be explored.

Successful students will complete the course with a solid understanding of design philosophy and a professional level Graphic Design Portfolio to share with prospective employers.

Registration is currently open for this exciting new program, which starts September 2016.
