Lambton College hosts second annual Sarnia-Lambton Energy Symposium

SARNIA, March 21, 2017 – Lambton College’s Applied Research & Innovation Department is pleased to be hosting the second annual Sarnia-Lambton Energy Symposium on Thursday, March 23.

Hosted at the Lambton College Event Centre in partnership with Sarnia-Lambton Economic Development, Western Sarnia-Lambton Research Park, and Bluewater Power, the event is designed to showcase energy-related technologies and initiatives to industry, government and academic guests from across the country. The end goal is to promote and build partnership between private and public sector and increase awareness about advancements as well as challenges in the energy sector.

This daylong event will consist of presentations and panel discussion focused on renewable energy, energy storage, and micro-grid technologies as well as policies, cap and trade, and the impact on Green House Gas (GHG) and the manufacturing sector. Additional conversations on material development for energy applications, policies, strategies, trends and initiatives will also take place. Highlights on innovation in energy storage, micro grid technologies, heavy-duty electric vehicle, and more are also on the day’s agenda.

The symposium will conclude with a tour of energy-focused laboratories and projects at Lambton College.
