Lambton College and Nipissing Piloting New Business Degree Pathway for Technology Program Graduates

SARNIA, June 20, 2018 – In a continued effort to provide students with flexible learning opportunities, Lambton College is currently piloting a new pathway for Technology graduates to pursue a degree through their partnership with Nipissing University.

The new agreement will allow graduates of any of Lambton College’s three year Advanced Technology diploma programs, including Chemical Production & Power Engineering Technology, Instrumentation & Control Engineering Technology, and Power Engineering Technology, to pursue a Bachelor of Commerce or Bachelor of Business Administration degree through Nipissing.

The development of this new pathway partnership means that eligible graduates who possess a minimum 70 per cent (3.0 cumulative GPA) average can now be granted advanced standing credits towards either of the aforementioned degrees. While both business degrees have specific program and degree requirements, the number of courses required for degree completion will depend on the transfer credits granted by the Registrar.

Each of these unique programs boast a blended delivery model which see students studying their first two semesters online, with the potential of taking in-class courses at Lambton College as demand increases.

Students who wish to pursue their degree through this university partnership can choose either a full-time stream consisting of five courses per term, which could allow them to earn their degree in as little as 16 months. Part-time options are also available, which allows qualified applicants to maintain a full-time or part-time job while they work towards their degree completion.

How to Apply

Full-time applicants need to visit the Ontario Universities' Application Centre (OUAC) at to complete the 105 application. Please select the Bachelor of Commerce or Bachelor of Business Administration option that includes Lambton College.
