SARNIA, October 9, 2018 – The 13th annual Corks, Caps & Cuisine tasting event is a sell out. All 370 tickets for The Lambton College Foundation’s signature fall fundraising event in support of the Envision Tomorrow Capital and Equipment Renewal Campaign sold out by September 27.

Corks, Caps & Cuisine, scheduled for October 20, provides guests a unique opportunity to savour abundant appetizers that are prepared by Lambton College’s Culinary Management students under the supervision of Red Seal Chef and Culinary Management Coordinator Alastair Mackay. The hors d’oeuvres are perfectly paired with a variety of premium beverages supplied by local craft breweries and artisanal wineries and orchards.

“This special event provides our students with a professional platform to demonstrate their skills and gain practical, real-world experience while bringing together community members, alumni, donors and the Lambton College community in support of a great cause,” says Judith Morris, President & CEO of Lambton College.

Marc Guilbeault, Director of The Lambton College Foundation & Alumni Association, says brisk ticket sales as well as strong support for the event’s sponsorship opportunities demonstrate that Corks, Caps & Cuisine is a highly anticipated event within the community.

“Over the past 12 years, the community’s support of this event has helped The Lambton College Foundation enhance programs and services for students, and transform the student learning and recreational experience through the exciting campus renewal project that is nearing completion,” says Guilbeault.

“I’m pleased to welcome back NOVA Chemicals as a key supporter of Corks, Caps & Cuisine as this year’s Presenting Sponsor. I would also like to recognize and thank Silver Sponsor Cestar College of Business, Health & Technology, and Silent Auction Sponsor, BES Construction Consulting for their valued partnership and commitment to Lambton College and our students. Local industries, including Bluewater Power, Trijan Industries, and Lyndon Security Services Inc., have also come forward to offer their generous support to this event.”

The theme for Corks, Caps & Cuisine is the glamorous Roaring Twenties. The evening of entertainment features a silent auction, souvenir photo booth, complimentary transportation at the end of the evening, live music by the Gatsby Gang Jazz Band, and numerous vendors of premium and craft beverages.

Since its launch in 1994, The Lambton College Foundation has raised millions for facilities, equipment, scholarships, and educational initiatives. The Envision Tomorrow Capital and Equipment Renewal Campaign was established to enhance academic programming, student athletic needs, and applied research opportunities to further position Lambton College as a provincial leader in educational programming while enriching the student experience on-campus.
