Corks, Caps & Cuisine Smashes Fundraising Record

SARNIA, October 30, 2018 – The 13th annual Corks, Caps & Cuisine tasting event, hosted by The Lambton College Foundation on Saturday, October 20, raised a record-smashing $31,500—the most funds raised in the event’s history.

Held at the Lambton College Event Centre and presented by NOVA Chemicals, the event showcased a variety of craft breweries and artisanal wineries and orchards against the backdrop of a glamorous Roaring Twenties theme. Each of the vendor’s premium beverages were paired with gourmet hors d’oeuvres prepared by the College’s Culinary Management students under the supervision of Red Seal Chef Alastair Mackay. Students from the Hospitality Management program also participated in a hands-on learning experience delivering professional food and hospitality service to guests.

The sold-out event hosted 380 guests who enjoyed a silent auction, fun photo booth, 50/50 draw, live music from the Gatsby Gang Jazz Band, complimentary bus transportation at the end of the evening, and more.

All proceeds from Corks, Caps & Cuisine will support the Envision Tomorrow Capital and Equipment Renewal Campaign.

The Lambton College Foundation would like to give special thanks to the event sponsors who contributed to the evening’s success:
