Lambton College Information Technology & Communication Research Centre Hosts Inaugural Sarnia-Lambton IT Symposium

November 21, 2019

SARNIA, November 21, 2019 – It was a meeting of the minds today at Lambton College as business leaders, educators, government officials and industry representatives from various sectors gathered for the first Sarnia-Lambton Information Technology (IT) Symposium.

The day-long event, hosted by Lambton College’s newly established Information Technology & Communication Research Centre (ITCRC) welcomed nearly 100 guests from across the province.

Held in partnership with Sarnia-Lambton Economic Partnership (SLEP), the event showcased new and emerging trends, research, and technologies in the Information Technology sectors.

Guests of the event had the opportunity to hear from industry experts through a series of presentations and exhibits. Networking opportunities were also part of the day’s agenda, which allowed guests to be exposed to new and innovative developments in the industry. The event also highlighted how companies outside the IT sector can integrate these technologies into their own company to improve products, processes, and services.

The Sarnia-Lambton IT Symposium was created in support of Sarnia-Lambton’s effort to demonstrate that the region has the resources required for Information Technology companies to operate, as well as attracting new companies to the area for digital technology adoption projects.
