Variety of New Educational Pathways and Transfer Agreements Established for Lambton College Students

SARNIA, April 8, 2020 – In addition to offering a variety of diploma, degree and certificate offerings, Lambton College is pleased to offer an expanding roster of unique pathway and transfer agreements with other post-secondary institutions.

Pathway agreements give students the benefits of both college and university through a clearly defined partnership pathway, while transfer agreements provide an opportunity for students to transfer to Lambton College from another institution, while applying previous credits towards a new program.

While agreements between post-secondary institutions are common, many students aren’t aware of pathway programs when they first apply to a college program.

Lambton College is pleased to have various pathway opportunities in place for students, including exclusive agreements with universities across the country and in some cases, internationally.

Some of the latest pathway agreements available to students include:

  • Royal Roads University, which provides pathways for students enrolled in Office Administration - Executive, Protection, Security & Investigation, Police Foundations, and Social Service Worker programs.
  • Nipissing, which allows graduates of any of Lambton’s three year Advanced Technology diploma programs, including Chemical Production & Power Engineering Technology, Instrumentation & Control Engineering Technology, and Power Engineering Technology, to pursue a Bachelor of Commerce or Bachelor of Business Administration degree.
  • Wilfred Laurier University has designed an online, Bachelor of Arts in Public Safety degree completion program exclusively for students who have already completed a two-year college diploma in a discipline related to public safety. Additional pathway agreements have recently been updated to include opportunities for graduates of Environmental Technician - Water & Wastewater Systems Operations, Child & Youth Care, and Social Service Worker.
  • A variety of recent pathways agreements have been signed with the University of Guelph to benefit graduates of Accounting, Business Administration, Early Childhood Education, Police Foundations, and Protection, Security & Investigation students.
  • Ryerson is providing a new degree pathway for graduates of Workplace Safety & Prevention that will allow students to pursue a Bachelor of Applied Science (Occupational Health and Safety).
  • A variety of pathways are available for students from other Ontario colleges including Humber, Seneca, and Sheridan.

These are just some of the latest agreements put in place to help Lambton College students pursue additional educational credentials.
