Indigenous Student Council

  • The Indigenous Student Council promotes and supports a sense of community for Indigenous students while studying at Lambton College. The Indigenous Student Council and the Indigenous Student Centre staff work together and meet on a regular basis planning cultural events, information sessions as well as student socials. They coordinate socials throughout the year such as meet and greets, holiday specials, bowling, movies, and rock climbing. The main cultural events are the annual spring Pow Wow and the winter Round Dance.

The Indigenous Student Council works at enhancing cultural awareness on campus. This student group is a positive and recognized presence at Lambton College.

Participating in the Indigenous Student Council offers an opportunity for Indigenous students to enhance their leadership skills while meeting new friends. Positions are voluntary and include president, vice-president, secretary and general council members.
