    • Barry M. Hogan

      Barry M. Hogan

      Chair

      Re-appointed to the Board in 2020 for a second term, Barry is the Chair of the Board, serving on the Board Executive, the Executive Performance and Compensation Committee, the Nomination Committee, the Finance and Property Committee, and the Programs and Services Committee. Barry M. Hogan is the current President of Gamble HUB Insurance and was previously the President of Gamble Insurance for 10 years until it sold to HUB International in June of 2015. Barry attended Trent University and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics. Barry and his wife Erika live in Sarnia with their eight children.

    • Susan Ferguson

      Susan Ferguson

      1st Vice-Chair

      Re-appointed to the Board in 2020, Susan currently serves as the 1st Vice-Chair and is the current Chair of Finance and Property committee. Susan has over 25 years experience with the Lambton Kent District School Board as a math teacher, guidance counsellor and administrator. Susan is currently the Principal of Northern Collegiate in Sarnia. She has served on many board committees including the New Teacher Induction Program, the Tragic Events Response Team and most recently the steering committee of the Board Leadership and Development. Susan has been actively involved in the Ontario Principals’ Council and served on the provincial executive for four years in various capacities including Vice-President. Susan is a graduate from University of Western Ontario with a Bachelor of Science degree in Pure Mathematics and Statistics. She also received her Bachelor of Education from Lakehead University and is a member of the Ontario College of Teachers.

    • Shannon Landry

      2nd Vice-Chair

      Appointed to the Board of Governors in 2020, Shannon serves as the 2nd Vice-Chair and Chair of the Programs & Services Committee. Shannon is the Chief Nursing Executive at Bluewater Health and contributes to the overall strategic direction and operational oversight of the nursing and clinical practice. She has a passion for exceptional patient-centred care in the health system and the highest quality outcomes. With a Masters in Nursing focusing on nursing administration, Shannon also brings volunteer governance experience from many different boards on which she served; both as director and ex-officio member.

    • Rob Kardas

      Rob Kardas

      President & CEO

      Rob Kardas is the President & CEO of Lambton College. He has accrued over 23 years of progressive leadership experience at the College, exhibiting an unwavering dedication to student and community success. Rob has worked tirelessly to increase access to the College's world-class education and student life experience, helping to create a diverse and inclusive student body. Rob is also a great champion of the Sarnia-Lambton community, facilitating close working relationships with business and industry to address workforce needs and to help graduates become future ready. He lends his trusted voice, experience and expertise to numerous local and provincial boards. Rob holds Master of Human Kinetics and Bachelor of Human Kinetics degrees, both from University of Windsor. He and his wife, Heather, live in Sarnia and are proud parents of two daughters, Fayth and Mackenzie.

    • Dave Mitton

      Appointed to the Board of Governors in 2018, Dave serves as a member of the Finance and Property committee. Dave is the Director of Information Technology and is serving as the Internal Administrative Staff Governor. Dave joined Lambton College as a Hardware and Software Support Technologist within the IT Department in 2002. Dave has been active in the college community including the Employee Relations Committee, Information Systems Steering Committee, and the Alumni Association. Dave holds a Computer Engineering Technologist diploma from Lambton College and is currently working towards his BSc Computer & Information Systems at Athabasca University.

    • Summer Sands-Macbeth

      Internal Governor

      Appointed to the Board of Governors in 2020, Summer serves as a member of the Lambton College Indigenous Education Council. She is an Employment Counsellor at the Walpole Island Employment and Training Program. Summer holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics from the University of California, Santa Cruz, a Bachelor of Education from the University of Ottawa, and she is completing a Masters of Education in World Indigenous Studies in Education. Summer is also a graduate of the Maatookiidaa Anishnaabewin Immersion School.

    • Carly VandenEnde

      Appointed to the Board of Governors in 2019, Carly serves as a member of the Program and Services Committee. Carly is a faculty member and Coordinator for the Business Diploma Programs at Lambton College serving as the Internal Academic Staff Governor. Carly joined Lambton College as a Business professor in 2011, bringing with her marketing experience from the Pharmaceutical and Consumer Goods industries. Carly has been active in the college community including member of the Lambton College Connections Committee and as a faculty advisor for Lambton College’s award-winning Enactus Team. Carly holds an Hon. BSc degree and MBA from McMaster University.

    • Joe Kušnír

      Appointed to the Board of Governors in 2021, Joe is a member of the Board’s Program and Services Committee. Joe is a Systems Programmer at Lambton College serving as the Internal Support Staff Governor. Joe joined Lambton College in 2012 full-time after previously working for Hepta Systems and Lambton College as a co-op student. Joe is a proud graduate of Lambton College's Computer Programmer Analyst program. Joe also holds a Bachelor of Science in Computing and Information Systems from Athabasca University and sits on the Lambton College Support Staff Professional Development Committee.

    • Chintan Modi

      Chintan Modi

      Student Governor

      Appointed to the Board of Governors in 2021, Chintan Modi serves as a member of the Programs and Services and the Finance and Property Committees. Chintan Modi holds a degree in Instrumentation & Control Engineering (B.Tech) and is currently enrolled in his first year of Advanced Project Management & Strategic Leadership at Lambton College. Chintan has been a member of the Retract Club of Nirma Institute (RCNI), the International Society of Automation (ISA), and he completed an internship at the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC). Currently, he serves as an International Student Ambassador and works with the Lambton College Student Administrative Council as a life assistant.

    • Brian Lucas

      Appointed to the Board in 2018, Brian serves as a member of the Programs and Services Committee. Brian is currently the Site Director (Plant Manager) of INEOS Styrolution, Sarnia Site. INEOS Styrolution is the leading, global styrenics supplier with a focus on styrene monomer, polystyrene, ABS Standard and styrenic specialties. Brian participates as a Board member of the Sarnia Lambton Environmental Association and the Sarnia Lambton Industrial Education Co-operative. As well, he is a Panel Member of the Bluewater Community Advisor Panel. Brian is a Professional Engineer graduating from the University of Saskatchewan with a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering.

    • Michael Caverly

      Michael Caverly

      Re-appointed to the Board of Governors in 2019 for a second term, Michael serves on the Finance and Property Committee. Michael is the Senior Commercial Account Manager for RBC Royal Bank. Michael joined RBC in 2006 as the Manager, Financial Planning in Sarnia. Prior to joining RBC, Michael worked in the Financial Services industry for 15 years in a variety of roles throughout the province of Ontario. Michael has an undergraduate degree from Trent University and holds his Certified Financial Planner designation. Furthermore, he is currently completing his Executive MBA at Dalhousie University.

    • Kelly Provost

      External Governor

      Appointed to the Board of Governors in 2021, Kelly Provost serves as a member of the Programs and Services Committee. Kelly is the Director of Economic Development with the City of Sarnia. Prior to joining the City, Kelly worked for more than 10 years in Economic Development in the Niagara region. She is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and is an Honours graduate of Brock University and Niagara College. Kelly is a member of the Economic Development Association of Canada and the Project Management Institute. She also serves as a member of the board of Tourism-Sarnia Lambton and Southwest Ontario Tourism Corporation.

    • Jason McMichael

      Jason McMichael

      External Governor

      Jason McMichael (He/Him) was appointed to the Board of Governors in 2021. He serves as a member of the Programs and Services and Finance and Property Committees. Jason is the Director of Government Relations for the Labourers International Union of North America both in Sarnia and Windsor. He has also served for three terms as the President of the Sarnia & District Labour Council and has been a Director with the Sarnia-Lambton Economic Partnership since 2016. He is a lifelong resident of Sarnia Lambton where he continues to raise his two daughters.

    • Dave Park

      Dave Park

      External Governor

      Appointed to the Board of Governors in 2019, Dave serves on the Finance and Property Committee. Dave is the Operations Manager and Partner at Parkland Farms. As the Operations Manager, Dave has hands on experience with farming and the management and operations of the majority of grain marketing for Parkland. As well, Dave was a Board member of the Grain Farmers of Ontario from 2014-2019. Dave has an Associate Diploma in Agriculture from the University of Guelph and a partial credit Bachelor of Applied Science from Olds College, Alberta.

    • Tania Lee

      Tania Lee

      External Governor

      Tania Lee was appointed to the Board of Governors in 2020. Tania is the Vice President of Sales at Blue Water Bridge Duty Free in Sarnia. Prior to joining the duty free, Tania worked as an Investment Advisor at CIBC Wood Gundy in London. Tania holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the University of Western Ontario. Tania is a member of the board of the Frontier Duty Free Association where she is serving her second term as Vice President. She also serves as Honorary Lieutenant Colonel for the 1st Hussars Regiment of the Canadian Armed Forces where she sits on the Regimental Council and Cavalry Fund.

    • Dean Pearson

      External Governor

      Appointed to the Board of Governors in 2020, Dean serves as a member of the Finance and Property Committee. Dean is the Operations Manager at Cabot Canada. Dean holds a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Chemistry from McMaster University, with a minor in History. As well he is designated by the Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals as a Canadian Registered Safety Professional and completed Occupational Health and Safety Law, Accident Theory and Analysis at Ryerson University.
