    • Heather Torres

      Heather Torres

      Internal Governor

      Re-appointed to the Board in 2020 for a second term, Heather serves as a member of the Finance & Property committee. Heather is currently a Data Analyst & Process Integration Specialist in the Office of the Registrar & Financial Aid Services at Lambton College and is serving as the Internal Support Staff Governor. Heather has worked at Lambton College for over 15 years and is an advocate for Support Staff. As such, she has created a Support Staff Workplace Leadership Award, she has sat on the Support Staff PD committee for many years and was the Chief Steward for the Local 124 union. Heather has her Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies as well as a Master of Arts in Workplace, Organization & Leadership.

    • Susan Ferguson

      Susan Ferguson

      2nd Vice-Chair

      Re-appointed to the Board in 2020, Susan was elected as the second Vice-Chair and is the current Chair of Programs & Services committee. Susan has over 25 years’ experience with the Lambton Kent District School Board as a math teacher, guidance counsellor and administrator. Susan is currently the Principal of Northern Collegiate in Sarnia. She has served on many board committees including the New Teacher Induction Program, the Tragic Events Response Team and most recently the steering committee of the Board Leadership and Development. Susan has been actively involved in the Ontario Principals’ Council and served on the provincial executive for four years in various capacities including Vice-President. Susan is a graduate from University of Western Ontario with a Bachelor of Science degree in Pure Mathematics and Statistics. She also received her Bachelor of Education from Lakehead University and is a member of the Ontario College of Teachers.

      Re-appointed to the Board in 2020 for a second term, Barry was elected as the first Vice-Chair and is current chair of the Finance and Property Committee. Barry M. Hogan is the current President of Gamble HUB Insurance and was previously the President of Gamble Insurance for 10 years until it sold to HUB International in June of 2015. Barry attended Trent University and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics. Barry and his wife Erika live in Sarnia with their eight children.

    • Dave Mitton

      Appointed to the Board of Governors in 2018, Dave serves as a member of the Finance and Property committee. Dave is the Director of Information Technology and is serving as the Internal Administrative Staff Governor. Dave joined Lambton College as a Hardware and Software Support Technologist within the IT Department in 2002. Dave has been active in the college community including the Employee Relations Committee, Information Systems Steering Committee, and the Alumni Association. Dave holds a Computer Engineering Technologist diploma from Lambton College and is currently working towards his BSc Computer & Information Systems at Athabasca University.

    • Shannon Landry

      Appointed to the Board of Governors in 2020, Shannon serves as a member of the Programs & Services Committee. Shannon is the Chief Nursing Executive at Bluewater Health adn contributes to the overall strategic direction and operational oversight of the nursing and clinical prcatice. She has a passion for exceptional patient-centred care in the health system and the highest quality outcomes. With a Masters in Nursing focusing on nursing administration, Shannin also brings volunteer governance experience from many different boards on which she served; both as director and ex-officio member.

    • Jim Wodham

      Re-appointed to the Board in 2018 for a second term, Jim serves as a member of the Programs and Services Committee. In 2017, Jim retired as the Business Manager of Local 1592 for the Millwright Regional Council of Ontario. Jim has years of experience in project management and project safety from his previous roles as a Millwright Superintendent, General Foreman, Foreman and Journeyman. Jim is a graduate of Fleming College in Forestry, as well as, a graduate of George Brown College, where he received a diploma in Construction Millwright.

    • Janice McMichael Dennis

      Re-appointed to the Board in 2018 for a second term, Janice is the Chair of the Board, serving on the Board Executive, the Executive Performance and Compensation Committee, the Nomination Committee, the Finance and Property Committee, and the Programs and Services Committee. Janice is the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Bluewater Power (BP) Group of Companies. The BP group of Companies include the following: Bluewater Power Distribution, Bluewater Power Services, Electek Power Services, Bluewater Power Renewables, Unconquered Sun Solar Technologies and Bluewater Regional Networks. Janice holds a B.A. majoring in Economics and a M.B.A. with a Finance major.

    • Brian Lucas

      Appointed to the Board in 2018, Brian serves as a member of the Programs and Services Committee. Brian is currently the Site Director (Plant Manager) of INEOS Styrolution, Sarnia Site. INEOS Styrolution is the leading, global styrenics supplier with a focus on styrene monomer, polystyrene, ABS Standard and styrenic specialties. Brian participates as a Board member of the Sarnia Lambton Environmental Association and the Sarnia Lambton Industrial Education Co-operative. As well, he is a Panel Member of the Bluewater Community Advisor Panel. Brian is a Professional Engineer graduating from the University of Saskatchewan with a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering.

    • Judith Morris

      Judith Morris

      President and CEO

      For the past five years, Morris has served as the President & CEO of Lambton College, helping to establish the College as a global leader in research, education and innovation. Judith is a passionate and innovative academic leader with more than 30 years of experience working in post-secondary education. Judith hails from Northern Ontario, where she got her start working as a supervisor for a group home for people with developmental handicaps. Shortly after, she landed a faculty position at Sault College, and was named Dean of Continuous Learning in 1996, a position she held for eight years before assuming the role of Vice-President, Academic at Lambton College. Morris holds a M.A. in Adult and Continuing Education, a B.Ed. Specialist in Special Education and an Hon. B.A. in Sociology.

    • Michael Caverly

      Re-appointed to the Board of Governors in 2019 for a second term, Michael serves on the Finance and Property Committee. Michael is the Regional Vice-President for RBC Royal Bank in the Lambton-Kent Market. Michael joined RBC in 2006 as the Manager, Financial Planning in Sarnia. Prior to joining RBC, Michael worked in the Financial Services industry for 15 years in a variety of roles throughout the province of Ontario. Michael has an undergraduate degree from Trent University and holds his Certified Financial Planner designation. Furthermore, he is currently completing his Executive MBA at Dalhousie University.

    • Dave Park

      Appointed to the Board of Governors in 2019, Dave serves on the Finance and Property Committee. Dave is the Operations Manager and Partner at Parkland Farms. As the Operations Manager, Dave has hands on experience with farming and the management and operations of the majority of grain marketing for Parkland. As well, Dave was a Board member of the Grain Farmers of Ontario from 2014-2019. Dave has an Associate Diploma in Agriculture from the University of Guelph and a partial credit Bachelor of Applied Science from Olds College, Alberta.

      Appointed to the Board of Governors in 2019, Carly serves as a member of the Program and Services Committee. Carly is a faculty member and Coordinator for the Business Diploma Programs at Lambton College serving as the Internal Academic Staff Governor. Carly joined Lambton College as a Business professor in 2011, bringing with her marketing experience from the Pharmaceutical and Consumer Goods industries. Carly has been active in the college community including member of the Lambton College Connections Committee and as a faculty advisor for Lambton College’s award-winning Enactus Team. Carly holds an Hon. BSc degree and MBA from McMaster University.

    • Tania Lee

      Tania Lee

      External Governor

      Tania Lee was appointed to the Board of Governors in 2020. Tania is the Vice President of Sales at Blue Water Bridge Duty Free in Sarnia. Prior to joining the duty free, Tania worked as an Investment Advisor at CIBC Wood Gundy in London. Tania holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the University of Western Ontario. Tania is a member of the board of the Frontier Duty Free Association where she is serving her second term as Vice President. She also serves as Honorary Lieutenant Colonel for the 1st Hussars Regiment of the Canadian Armed Forces where she sits on the Regimental Council and Cavalry Fund.

    • Dean Pearson

      Appointed to the Board of Governors in 2020, Dean serves as a member of the Finance and Property Committee. Dean is the Operations Manager at Cabot Canada. Dean holds a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Chemistry from McMaster University, with a minor in History. As well he is designated by the Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals as a Canadian Registered Safety Professional and completed Occupational Health and Safety Law, Accident Theory and Analysis at Ryerson University.

    • Emily Hutchings

      Emily Hutchings

      Student Governor

      Appointed in 2020, Emily serves on the Programs and Services Committee. Emily is in her third year of the Chemical Production and Power Engineering Technology Program (CPET), as well, she is a VP on the Student Administrative Council.
