Located in the Lambton Energy Research Centre’s Sustainable Smart House facility, the Hydrogen Lab provides a test-bed for fuel cells, renewable energy generation and storage, and intelligent building systems applied research. This Lab incorporates hydrogen generators, polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cells, and a robust gas and electrical infrastructure for the rigorous testing of prototype instruments and equipment. In addition, the Hydrogen Lab houses Lambton College’s proprietary “RECSR” power management and microgrid simulation system to characterize and validate innovative technologies in power generation, storage, and utilization.
